S.O.S.!! ANYBODY OUT THERE COULD HELP?

Taman Cahaya Training Centre For The Blind is in urgent need of a new van to replace the existing ones which are now more than 18 years old and which are frequently broken down during mid-journeys and recruitment exercises for the blind and visually impaired peoples from throughout Sabah. Beside for general transport use, the vans are used by the centre to travel to remote parts/kampungs in Sabah to locate the poor blinds and transport them to the centre in Sandakan for training/rehabilitation as well as to bring them back safely to their hometowns/kampungs after training.

A new van is estimated to cost about RM110,000.00. Following our public appeals for donations/sponsorship in June 2014, the centre received from kind donors a total donation of 33% of the estimated cost of the new van as at 30/9/2014.

The Management & Staff of Taman Cahaya and visually impaired community appeal to the general public and kind donors/sponsors/companies to come forward to give their helping hands to meet the 67% shortfall cost for the acquisition of the new van which is much needed by the centre.
