Yes, by Braille which is a tactile writing system developed by a blind Frenchman named Louis Braille in 1824 and it is traditionally written with original slate and stylus or type on embossed papers and eventually by braille writer such as portable braille note-taker or computer that print with a braille embosser.

Braille in alphabets, numbers and punctuation marks can be written in long form (uncontracted) or short form (contracted). Braille embossed or transcripted books and medium are read by the visually handicapped and blind persons by fingers touch against the raised dots of the Braille.

Braille is also developed into different languages and forms for different purposes such as for literacy, music, publishing, technology, etc.

The Braille training that we are providing to the blind trainees in Taman Cahaya Training Centre is based on the English basic or simple uncontracted Braille version.
